ABOUT THE COLOR WHEELS
There are four color wheels including the coloring page of color wheel. The primary and secondary color wheel has six colors. the tertiary color wheel has twelve colors. The color cat has twelve colors intended for drill or review of a lesson.
HOW TO PREPARE
1. Download or print directly the material from the link.
2. Give each student a copy (optional)
2. Cut them.
3. Laminate or paste then on card stock for durability.
4. Use iron button to attach the cover of the color wheel.
OVERVIEW
Colors definition
The property possessed by an object of producing different sensations on the eye as a result of the way the object reflects or emits lights.
PRIMARY COLORS
These are colors that cannot be created by mixing of other colors. They are colors in their own right. The three primary colors are RED, YELLOW and BLUE.
SECONDARY COLORS
GREEN, ORANGE and VIOLET - These are the colors formed by mixing the primary colors.
TERTIARY COLORS
YELLOW-ORANGE, RED-ORANGE, RED-VIOLET, BLUE-VIOLET, BLUE-GREEN, YELLOW-GREEN - These are the colors formed by mixing a primary and a secondary color. That's why the hue is a two-word name such as blue-green, red-violet and yellow orange.
Note: The names for the tertiary colors always begin with the primary color then the secondary color; yellow-orange not orange-yellow.
Note: black, white and gray are not true colors (or hues). They are considered to be neutral, achromatic color.
Warm colors and Cool colors
The warm colors include red, oranges and yellows; the cool colors include blues, green and violets.
