ABOUT THE WORD SEARCH

There are 21 pages of word search pages including answer keys. These word search sheets are available in colored and black & white. Each page has eight words with corresponding pictures. The students will find the words and circle each word using red markers.

How to use

Download or print the long vowel word search directly from your computer. Select from the word search sheets and give each student a copy. Read the instruction aloud. Explain the instruction for the sake of those who cant easily understand the instruction. Ask them to write their name before answering the activity. To give an excitement and twist, you can have at least five name slots (depending on the class number) who will find the words first. You could give a reward (like candy, sticker etc.) to them for their hard work. Practice reading the words together or individually. This activity is really a great help to remember 4-letter words with silent "e" or the long vowel words.
