Clip cards are so versatile and these long vowel clip cards are no exception! Clip cards can help motor skills, provide a unique way to practice different concepts and are lots of fun. These cards are great for pre-k or kindergarten students working on reading three letter combinations of long vowels and consonants and four letter combinations of long vowels and consonants.

Long vowel clip cards are a hands-on approach to identifying long vowels and their associated spelling. Students apply their phonics knowledge by correctly "clipping" the correct word associated with the picture using a clothespin.

MATERIALS FOR LONG VOWEL CLIP CARDS

1. Print the file.

2. Cut them accordingly.

3. Laminate or paste on card stock for durability.

4. You will need a clothespin to mark the correct word that match the picture on the card.

To make the preparation even faster and easier, you could leave the pages intact and use markers or manipulative to mark the correct words.
